NEW DELHI: Brushing aside misinformation sought to be spread in certain quarters, Union Minister of States for the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Dr Jitendra Singh on Monday said that Right to Information (RTI) can be filed locally in the Union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, even after the new arrangement comes into existence after October 31, 2019.
He denounced the mischievous rumours that, because Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) will become a Union Territory, the applicant will have to travel to Delhi to file an RTI. (AGENCIES)
