REASI, Sept 11: Over 1000 volunteers of the Rastriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) today participated at ‘Shakha Sangam programme” at Sports Stadium Reasi.
This was the first time when such a huge number of RSS volunteers assembled here from 75 Shakhas of district Reasi and attended various events like Dwaj (flag) hoisting ceremony , Asanas, Surya Namaskar, physical exercise, and games.

Briefing about history of the organisation to the volunteers, RSS Seh Prant Pracharak J&K, Mukesh Kumar informed that RSS is holding its Shakhas in far flung areas of the Reasi. He also said that the motto of the Sangh is clear and it believes to make the country Vishwa Guru (world leader).
“The main objective of the RSS is to work for the development of the country, society and its people,” he added and urged the people to work for the society and strengthen the society.
Swayamsevaks of different age group, including children and elderly ones, took part in the programme.
