RSS chief to review situation in J&K

JAMMU, Sept 28: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Sarsanghchalak (chief) Dr. Mohan Rao Bhagwat is arriving Jammu for the four days visit on September 30.
According to sources, the RSS chief’s visit is attaching much importance as he is visiting the J&K for the first time since the annulling of Articles 370 and 35 A in 2019 and converting J&K and Ladakh into two separate Union Territories.
The RSS J&K Prant has given final shape to the arrangements for the visit of Dr Bhagwat who as per sources besides reviewing prevailing situation in the UT is slated to meet many prominent people of J&K especially those old Sangh activists who were associated with the organization since fifties.
During a four-day stay at Jammu, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will participate in many programmes.
As per the tradition of the RSS, every year the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah travel all the provinces of the country as part of organizational engagements and to interact with prominent persons.
Since its formation, it is a practice in the RSS that Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah visit every province in connection with the organizational work.
Following the same tradition, this year Dr Bhagwat’s visit has been fixed in Jammu and Kashmir province. Earlier, he had visited Jammu in the year 2016.
Apart from various in-house organizational meetings, Dr Bhagwat will address a seminar at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University on October 2.
On October 3, he will address Swayamsevak of the Sangh through online mode across Jammu and Kashmir province. Swayamsevaks will gather at Mandals and Bastis level to listen to the online address of Sangh chief.
Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, during his stay in Jammu, will interact with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Jammu and Kashmir province team and discuss overall situation in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh with them. Dr Bhagwat will also review the ongoing projects initiated by the RSS in Jammu and Kashmir in various fields including Sewa, education, public awareness, health, rural development, ecology, water conservation, social equality, etc.
He will also interact with Pracharaks of the province as well as with selected dignitaries.
During the first and second wave of deadly Coronavirus, RSS workers played a very important role in serving people. Dr Bhagwat will seek feedback from Swayamsevaks who worked assiduously during the first and second wave of the Coronavirus.
