JAMMU, Mar 7: The SHE Team of Police Station RS Pura today arrested three persons for engaging in inappropriate behaviours towards women.
A police official said that the team has been formed to conduct surveillance and patrols across key areas, such as near colleges, Government schools, and coaching centers with an objective of ensuring a safe environment for women and girls in public spaces.
Under the efforts, three persons, who were detained today, included Ankit Spolia of TC Khariyan, Miran Sahib; Vishal Kumar of Koulan, RS Pura; and Pawan Kumar of Chandu Chak for engaging in inappropriate behaviours, he said.
These individuals were detained under Section 39/128 of the BNSS Act and brought to the police station, he said.
“A complaint will be submitted in the court for further legal action,” added the police official.
