KARGIL, Dec 10: The Enforcement wing of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Inspector Food Safety and Inspectors from Municipal Committee headed by Tehsildar Kargil conducted checking of different food establishment including vegetables and fruits shops, mutton and chicken shops here today.
Approximately 50 establishments were checked, out of which 17 establishment were fined on the spot. Fine of Rs 7900 was imposed on the defaulters. Spoiled vegetables and fruits viz polythene bags were seized and destroyed later.
Sufficient quantity of vegetable and onions were found during market checking and mutton was available at few shops till 12 Noon.
According to President Butcher Association no further live stocks is available with them.
