Police raids house in Rajouri town

RAJOURI, May 29: In a major success, the police raided a house and recovered some quantity of drugs, Rs 1.16 lakh cash and 31 mobile phone in Rajouri area tonight.
Official sources said that the police received information that a consignment of drugs has been hidden at the house of a notorious drug smuggler Aziz Ahmed alias Sonu Chinese, son of Mohammad Shabir, resident of Ward No. 10, Rajouri. As soon as the information was received, under the leadership of SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh, DySp Hqr Rajouri Mudassir Hussain , SHO Rajouri Shoket Hussain and PSI Sahil Choudhary conducted a surprise raid in presence of Executive Magistrate.
The police during searches recovered 31 mobile phones, 3 cameras, 2 electronic weighing machines, 3 motors, 4 amplifiers, 1 inverter, 1 stabilizer, 1 speaker, Rs 1,16130 cash, 11 grams of heroin from the house of the notorious smuggler.
The official said that the said notorious smuggler was involved in many incidents of theft along with drug trade and had hidden the stolen goods in his house by stealing from many places, which the police recovered and achieved great success. In this regard a case FIR No 247/2023 U/S 8/21/22/27-A NDPS Act got registered and accused arrested.
