RRC visits Purkhoo, discusses issues with Jagti youth

JAMMU, Oct 13: Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Y P Suman today visited Migrant Camp Purkhoo to ascertain the problems of camp inmates there. The RRC interacted with the inmates there and assured them that the work on the link road from Akhnoor road to TRT will be started soon. He also assured them that other problems faced by the camp inmates will also be settled as he has already taken up the issue with Government.
Later PDP leader and ex-Sarpanch Nana Ji Raina also met RRC and apprised him of various problems of migrants including restoration of RBA status to them.
Meanwhile a delegation of youth of Jagti also called on RRC and discussed a host of issues with him. The delegation expressed concern over non payment of cash relief as well as ration for the month of September. It demanded release of cash payment in lieu of ration for the month of February, March and April as announced by the Government. It demanded construction of Youth Club at Jagti, transport facilities to township, making of Jagti Hospital fully operational, repairs of community hall and quarters and constitution of an elected representative body for the township. The members of the delegation were Naveen Gosani, Ashu Bhat, Vinod Zutshi, Sunil Pandita and Sunil Raina.
Besides in a separate statement the Relief holders representative Ajay Bhat has also demanded immediate release of ration and cash relief to migrants for the month of September. In addition to it the cash in lieu of ration for the months of February, March and April be also paid immediately, he added.
