SAMBA, Sept 20: All J&K Retired Police Personnel Forum (RPPF) held a protest demonstration under the leadership of Retd ASI Mohammad Sharif at Vijaypur here today.
They raised slogans in support of their demands and highlighted the problems being faced by ex-police personnel including the grades of ASI and Head Constables, health facilities, reservation facility for retired persons’ children for professional courses and other allied grievances.
They said that 15 per cent reservation should be given to the wards of retired police personnel in recruitment of J&K Police, cashless health care policies, financial assistance from police welfare fund at dire needs, removal of pay anomalies of ASI and constables, relief from Police Welfare Fund to retired police personnel for marriage of their children and GP Fund should be paid to the retirees at the time of retirement as a welfare measures.
Krishan Singh, Naresh Singh among other retired police personnel were present during the protest.
