RPPF highlights demands

RAJOURI, Aug 5: District body of Retired Police Personnel Forum (RPPF), today held a meeting under the chairmanship of district president, Om Prakash Sharma, to highlight their demands.
The meeting was attended by a large number of retired police personnel from various parts of the district.
During the meeting, the speakers raised the demand of one rank one pension for the retired police personnel on the lines of Army. Besides, the speakers demanded the release of arrears of 6th Pay Commission and removal of pay anomalies.
Moreover, the Forum stressed upon the Government to give 15% reservation quota in the police recruitment to the wards of police personnel, financial assistance to retired police personnel from Police Welfare Funds at the time of marriage of their daughters, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and cash compensation to retired police personnel whose property was destroyed during heavy rains and floods during September last year.
Others present in the meeting were Taj Husain, Mushtaq Ahmad, Abdul Ghani, Abdul Hamid and Abdul Aziz.
It was unanimously decided during the meeting that minutes of the meeting will be submitted to the higher authorities of Police Department to adhere the same on priority basis.
