Rotary Hospital discharges 22 patients after surgery

JAMMU, Aug 30: The 22 patients that were operated yesterday by Dr Ankur Goel were today discharged from the KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur after follow up.
These 22 patients were among the 40 patients identified for cataract surgeries during an eye screening camp on Aug 12 which was organized by the Hospital in collaboration with Brahm Rishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth (BRBSVP), Udhampur.
In the screening camp 230 patients suffering from different eye ailments were examined by the medical team of the hospital.
A function was organized today in the hospital premises wherein Chairman BRBSVP Swami Chinmay Jyoti was the chief guest.  D.N Sharma, Chairman Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur, Rajendra Sanson, V.S Raja, Col. Hargovind Singh along with the operated patients and their attendants were also present on this occasion.
The patients were made aware about eye care after surgery so that better vision is maintained in future.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Chinmay Ji said in such camps the patients of far flung areas are selected to provide gift of sight.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur, D.N Sharma assured the public to organize more such camps in rural areas of Udhampur till whole district becomes blindness free.
