UDHAMPUR, Nov 20: Rotary Club Udhampur provided humanitarian service to the poor people of the area, when Governing Body members flagged off 1st batch of two children namely Ronak Sharma, son of Sanjay Kumar of Prayian Udhampur and Gammni, daughter of Vijay Kumar of Tirshi Udhampur for the treatment from various heart diseases.
Rotary International have took the challenge to provide gift of life to the poor patients who will be operated at Escort Heart Institute, New Delhi free of cost.
The total number of patients registered for heart surgery by Rotary Club Udhampur is 39 and the rest of the patients will also be operated in similar way.
Today flag off ceremony of 1st batch of two patients was attended by Rotarians of Udhampur besides imminent citizens, doctors and social workers.
The heart surgeries of the patients are being carried out under the “Gift of Life” project of Rotary International to save the lives of children suffering from heart ailment.
Rotary Club Udhampur has extended heartfelt thanks to Rtn. A. C. Peter National Coordinator of “Gift of Life” program of Rotary International for giving special priority to the poor patient of J&K State.
