UDHAMPUR, Apr 7: Rotary Club Udhampur & KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur in collaboration with Amandeep Hospital Pathankot organized free Medical Check-up camp here today at base hospital, Udhampur. Medical team, headed by Vijay Thapa (Promotion Manager) along with Dr Navjot Singh (Orthopedic Surgeon), Dr H S Raswan (General and Laparoscopy Surgeon), Dr Qayoom Khan (Brain and Spine Surgeon), Dr Rashi Sammi (Obstetrician & Gynecologist) and Dr Surinder Kumar (Medicine) and other medical and para-medical staff from Amandeep Hospital, Pathankot, provided free examination and screening facilities to the general public.
In the said camp 790 patients (Neuro – 215, Ortho – 260, Gynae – 34, MD – 225 and General – 55) were screened and examined. In the said camp free medicines were distributed and free investigations were conducted.
President Rotary Club Udhampur, Rtn Rajeev Gupta in his remarks said that the purpose of organizing such multi specialty camp is to provide medical facility in different specialty to the people of Distt Udhampur under one roof. Since district Udhampur is a hilly and backward area where medical health facilities are not advanced at Govt as well as private level, people have to go to Jammu or other States for availing such kind of medical facility,” he said and assured to the general public to organize such kind of camps in future also. He also arranged refreshment for all the visiting patients.
The camp was a huge success and dedication of Doctors and Para-medical staff was really appreciated by the citizens of Distt Udhampur.
