RAJOURI, Feb 13: Three day special eye treatment and cataract operation camp jointly organized by Rotary Club and district Hospital Rajouri concluded today. During this camp 160 successful surgeries were performed. At the same time specialized OPD treatment was provided to 690 patients from various far off and remote corners of Rajouri. The eye treatment camp concluded in a special function at district Hospital Rajouri in which MLC Vibodh Gupta was the chief guest. During the function MLC Vibodh along with other dignitaries personally met various patients who received treatment during this very special eye camp and wished all of them a speedy recovery and a happy and healthy life ahead.
Addressing the gathering Vibodh thanked the organizers specially the specialist doctors for organizing such a successful camp in which many poor and needy people received specialized eye treatment and were provided free medicines as well. He said that Rotary Club is doing a great service to the society by taking such very useful and noble initiatives. He further added that Rotary Club is a Club of visionary and noble people who are doing their every bit to help the poor and needy people from various remote corners. He also appreciated the role played by the staff and management of district hospital Rajouri in ensuring the successful conduct of such a camp.
He called upon the organisers of the camp to regularly organize such camps and ensure his full support for such activities in future as well. K K Langer, Zonal Chairman of the Rotary Club thanked MLC Vibodh for his regular support in organizing such camps. He said that when the Club receives such support from leader like MLC Vibodh then their energies for the proposed future activities get doubled. Senior doctors D N Sharma and Ankur Goel from the Eye and ENT Hospital Udhampur led the team of doctors while performing various surgeries of the patients. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Rakesh Gupta, Lokesh Bakshi, Sadiq Khan and Navneet Bhari and staff members of Rajouri Hospital.
