JAMMU, June 25: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust president, Mahant Rohit Shastri here today met Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and discussed with him the promotion, preservation and revival of Sanskrit in J&K.
Shastri also presented a special felicitation volume published on J&K LG, Manoj Sinha to the Divisional Commissioner.
He briefed him about the efforts of the Trust towards the welfare of Sanskrit students and scholars, preservation of ancient knowledge traditions and the development of Sanskrit education.
Trust vice president, Sunil Sharma and member Mahesh Singh Jasrotia were also present on the occasion.
The Divisional Commissioner assured full support in the promotion of Sanskrit language.
