Robbery case solved; 5 dacoits arrested, looted cash recovered

JAMMU, Dec 29: Arnia Police of Sub Division RS Pura solved robbery cash with the arrest of five dacoits along with looted cash.
This was informed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Chandan Kohli.
Divulging the details, SSP said that on December 27 this year, some dacoits after proper recee hatched a criminal conspiracy and attacked a petrol pump employee Kaku Ram with sharp edged weapons and snatched Rs 2.31 lakhs from him and fled away.
Soon after the incident, a case under FIR Number 93/2021 under Sections 120 B, 397 and 323 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was lodged at Police Station Arnia and investigation was set into motion, SSP said, adding that for speedy and time bound investigation, dedicated teams were constituted under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, Ramnish Gupta.
SSP Jammu further said that a reliable information was received and 3 special police teams were constituted under SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan comprising of SHO Arnia Inspector Tilak Raj Sharma, SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma and SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Mirza Sultan which finally nabbed 5 dacoits including kingpin.
“The arrested persons were identified as Subash Kumar alias Pampi, son of Surjit Kumar of Mottey RS Pura, Gurnaam Singh alias Goru, son of Santokh Singh of village Kolain RS Pura, Rahul Kumar, son of Mohinder Lal of Koulan RS Pura, Jagandeep Singh alias Babbel, son of Gurdeep Singh of Tindey Kalan Miran Sahib and Amrik Singh alias Kaka, son of Bihari Lal of Raipur Gujjran RS Pura”, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli informed.
SSP Jammu said that looted Rs 2.31 cash was recovered on the disclosure of arrested persons, adding that two vehicles including a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CC-8783 and one scooty bearing registration number JK02CG-7767 which were used for commission of crime were also seized along with three sharp edged weapons were also recovered and seized accordingly.
Further questioning of the arrested persons is going on to ascertain their involvement on other theft or robbery cases, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli informed.
