JAMMU : Roadmap on the issues of Kashmiri Pandits and West Pakistan Refugees is almost ready, Union Minister of State in
Prime Minister’s Office Jitender Singh said. Dr Singh told reporters on his arrival in the Winter Capital after being inducted into the Union cabinet that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has almost given nod to the roadmap prepared for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley and citizenship rights to the West Pakistan refugees. The roadmap on both the issues is almost ready and the final decision can be announced any time, he said.
Dr JItender Singh, welcomed the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent statement that he would love to work with Mr Modi on KPs return.
“It is good that Mr Abdullah has expressed desire to work with the Prime Minister on the idea of return of Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland,” he added.
Dr Singh said that the Prime Minister has already cleared that he wants to run the nation but not the government. On development issues, Dr Singh said that the Central Government is working on new projects for the Jammu province which included Employment Mela for Kathua district, 100 emergency ambulances for Jammu, thermal hydro projects and road connectivity.
The MoS, however, also said that the Government is also working on power project to provide uninterrupted supply to the people of the border state.
