SAMBA, Dec 11: The condition of the road leading to the village of martyr who sacrificed his life in the protection of the country’s borders has become worse.
The road leading to Palouta village was built in the name of Sardar Gurdeep Singh Soni, who died in the Kargil war of 1999.This road is at least 800 meters long from the Shaheed Gurdeep Singh Soni Memorial to the village Palouta, it runs along many villages ahead of the village Palouta.It has been nearly 20 years since Gurdeep Singh Soni was martyred, but till date this road has not been repaired.
While talking with Excelsior correspondent martyr’s father Sardar Mohan Singh and Ward member Ashok Kumar said that the martyrdom day of the martyr Gurdeep Singh is observed every year at the Shaheedi memorial. Every year, whoever sees the condition of the path criticizes the authorities for neglecting it.
All villagers and dignitaries have appealed to Lieutenant Governor, Giresh Chandera Murmu that Palouta is a martyr’s village and we want this road to be built as soon as possible.
