JAMMU, Sept 2: RM Public School hosted a Science Exhibition in its premises, here today.
The theme for the exhibition was ‘Eco Innovations’. Twenty-eight schools from Jammu and nearby regions displayed an array of projects conceived by the young minds. Two categories were specifically created displaying junior wing (classes 6th to 8th) and senior wing (classes 9th to 12th).
The occasion was graced by eminent judges Prof (Dr) Utsav Sharma (Head, Division of Veterinary Gynae and Obstetrics), Surjit Singh Chib (Lecturer in Biology) and Sheetal Gupta (Government Lecturer) who gave valuable inputs to the students.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam (Director, Quality Assurance, Jammu University), president of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex Rajesh Rathore, Col Anil Pandit (Commandant 213 Transit Camp) and Dr Rohini Aima (Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School) were the distinguished guests for the event. They motivated the students and applauded their presentation.
Chairman of the School, Rameshwar Mengi in his address emphasized upon the importance of science in our daily lives and expressed his belief that it is the reason for our existence in today’s day and age.
The 1st prize was bagged by R M Public School for Junior and Senior categories, 2nd prize was given to Shaurya International School for Junior and Senior categories, and 3rd prize was given to Jammu Sanskriti School in Junior category and APS Ratnuchak in Senior category.
Consolation prizes were also distributed to motivate the students.
