SAMBA , May 11: The 10th death anniversary of Shaheed, Hoshiar Singh and his wife Shaheed Shashi Bala was observed at District Hospital Samba today in which members of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation along with members of civil societies and family members of the martyrs paid rich tributes to Shaheed Hoshiar Singh and his wife Shaheed Shashi Bala.
On this occasion a langer (community kitchen) and Shabeel were also organized at District Hospital Samba. During tribute ceremony slogans were also raised by the members of Medical Employees Federation, civil societies members and family members and they chanted “Hoshiar Singh Amar Rahe” and “Shashi Bala Amar Rahe”.
It may be recalled that in the year 2008 Hoshiar Singh and his wife Shashi Bala were martyred in terrorists attack when Pak intruders had entered in their home and the husband wife duo exhibiting great fearlessness and bravery faced the militants. They saved the lives of their children but both Hoshiar Singh and his wife Shashi Bala were martyred.
Others who were present included Dr.Bharat Bhushan Verma, Dr Som Kumar Chagdal, Dr.Neelam Verma, Members of Medical Employees Federation, Sr.Pharmacists Sunil Bandral, Davinder Kumar Sharma, Ashok Kumar ,Sunita Devi.
Among the family members were present including Kartar Singh, elder brother of Shaheed Hoshiar Singh, his son Lok Sewak Singh Vikas Mankotia , Ajeet and members of civil societies Rahul Chandel and Sahil Chandel and many others.
