Rich tributes paid to Chatta on his 5th death anniversary

JAMMU, June 17: Rich tributes were paid to former president of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) and a veteran RSS ideologue, Hira Lal Chatta on his 5th death anniversary here, today.
In this connection functions were organized by Amar Balidan Trust (ABT) and ASKPC here, today.
The ABT held a grand function at Suriya Bhawan in which the senior community leaders and representatives of various KP organizations participated and recalled the selfless services of Chatta to the community and nation as a whole.
Ashok Kaul, (Org) general secretary BJP was the chief guest while the MLCs Surinder Ambardar and G L Raina were the guests of honour.
The function was presided over by Moti Lal Malla a close associate of Chatta and Vaishnavi who is also general secretary ABT. Ashok Kaul termed Chatta great social worker who tirelessly worked for the welfare of the community since his young age who played a pivotal role in all nationalist movements in Kashmir and later after the mass exodus of community in Jammu. M L Malla also recalled his association with Chatta and said the community has really become orphan after his demise.
Chatta served ASKPC in various capacities as its general secretary and president as well as president BJP Migrant Cell.
The prominent who paid tributes to Chatta were senior KP leader and president All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC), H N Jattu, president KP Sabha, K K Khosa, former president ASKPC and chairman of the Trust, R K Raina, M K Jalali, president Sharika Peeth Sanstha, A K Raina, president ABT, Vijay Kashkari its vice president, Ramesh Hangloo of Director Sharda Radio, P K president, Virender Raina, Shiban Khybri a well known writer, Dr A N Pandita, M K Raina, general secretary, AIKPC, Ashok Bararoo a senior leader of the community, Virender Kuchroo councilor Baramulla and M K Tickoo and many others.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Subash Chatta treasurer, ABT and S K Bhat secretary ABT conducted proceedings
Another function was held ASKPC here in which its president, Advocate Ravinder Raina recalled the selfless services and contribution of Chatta for the cause of community and nation as a whole especially after the mass exodus of the community.
Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC), president, Kundan Kashmir also recalled the services of Chatta to the community at a function held in New Delhi.
