JAMMU, Dec 27: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta today said that the rhythm of development will continue in Gandhi Nagar constituency unabated as BJP believes in the “Sab ka Saath Sab ka Vikas”. Gupta further disclosed that Gandhi Nagar constituency has witnessed large scale developments in all fronts, whether it is health sector, education, road connectivity, power and water supply, etc.
Gupta said this, while addressing a gathering at Mahakali Nagar in Ward 73 where he was on tour and inspection of ongoing works. “BJP party’s main agenda is for up-gradation of the basic facilities and infrastructure of various priorities like quality education, water and power supply, better medical health care facilities for the benefit of the people”, he added.
“There is no alternate to the BJP as during the period of this party, the country and erstwhile J&K State progressed steadfastly in all sectors. The party has multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty, up-liftment of weaker sections of the society”, Gupta added. Hitting out at the Congress, Gupta, claimed that BJP is the party that not only makes promises but believes in fulfilling them. He added that ‘Sab ka Saath Sab ka Vikas’ is not a slogan for the party but a sacred hymn.
Former Dy. CM said in its 60 years of rule, the Congress can hardly boast three achievements whereas the Modi Government has taken 100’s of important decisions, including surgical strikes, GST, demonetisation and Citizen Amendment Bill. “BJP Government do not take decision that people like, but they take decisions that are good for the people,” said Gupta.
He stated that with commissioning of a number of major water supply schemes in the Gandhi Nagar constituency, People are getting safe and hygienic drinking water, electrification of number of areas in the constituency was done by getting a number of electric poles and transformers installed and upgraded, Gupta said. He said as promised during 2014 Assembly election campaign for the inclusion of the Mahakali Nagar and adjoining areas in JMC, he fulfilled the same.
Gupta said with the inclusion of the areas in JMC, there is lot of scope of development in the area and stressed for the active participation of the public of Ward 73 to cooperate with the Government agencies by suggesting and bringing to their notice the developmental works. He said his doors are always open for the public and can approach any time with their grievances.
