Rewards for Ayush centres

The Union Minister for Ayush, Shipping, and Waterways bestowed NABH accreditation upon five Ayush Health & Wellness Centres (AHWCs) in Jammu and Kashmir. The prestigious accolades are the fruition of assiduous endeavours dedicated to the establishment of these wellness centres, coupled with the wholehearted commitment of the centre staff, who ardently contributed to fostering substantial well-being within the local community. The laudable success is not solely confined to disease diagnosis; rather, the hallmark of these wellness centres lies in the efficacious management and meticulous dispensation of medicines. The commendable efforts extend beyond conventional healthcare, manifesting in the form of specialised yoga camps targeting specific health issues and the conscientious care and advice provided to patients. The notable achievements further encompass the implementation of comprehensive community health programmes and health checkups for schoolchildren. Over a brief span, the UT of Jammu and Kashmir has successfully established 571 standalone Ayush dispensaries, serving as indispensable lifelines for the region’s patients. Notably, 456 of these dispensaries have transformed into Ayush Health & Wellness Centers. The protracted Governmental emphasis on the Indian System of Medicines deserves acclaim, and these concerted endeavours have substantially redounded to the benefit of the populace. The revitalised commitment to health, not confined solely to pharmaceutical interventions but extending to the provision of yoga therapy, garners well-deserved praise.
The strategic deployment of Ayush doctors within local dispensaries, ensuring timely counsel, assumes paramount significance for the residents. This proactive measure obviates the necessity for individuals to expend substantial sums on consultations for minor ailments, representing a noteworthy departure from previous healthcare practices. The multifaceted wellness initiatives undertaken by these centres have set exceptionally high benchmarks. The concerted efforts of the entire team within the Ayush and Health Department, in seamless coordination, have yielded exemplary results.
