JAMMU, Oct 3: As Government has started process for special summary revision of electoral rolls for 46 Assembly Constituencies of Kashmir Valley the Relief organization has also started process for the revision of electoral rolls of migrants.
This was stated by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita here today. He said the draft publication process of electoral rolls has started from October 1 and the period for filling of claims and objections will be up to October 31. The disposal of claims and objections besides updating of data base will be completed by December 1 while from December 1 to December 31 the process regarding merging of photographs, updating the control tables and preparation and printing of separate lists will be done. The final publication of electoral rolls will be made on January 5 next year, he added.
Relief Commissioner said that the revision of electoral rolls have been displayed at Shanker building, Akhnoor road, and Jagti township Nagrota for the benefit of migrants.
