SRINAGAR, Jan 16: The Revenue Department today retrieved several kanals of encroached land in the Pattan and Singhpora areas of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to a statement issued by the Revenue Department, the entire anti-encroachment drive was carried out peacefully and resulted in the recovery of many kanals of state land at K.P. Sari Singhpora.
“A revenue department team on directions of Tehsildar Pattan and Singpora, led by Tehsildar Saqib Murtaza along with Naib Tehsildar, Patwaris, concerned Numberdar and Chowkidars visited the site and freed the land from encroachers,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the encroachers were also given a week to vacate the encroached land or face the consequences.
