KATHUA, May 10: Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers have threatened to take to streets after locking their respective schools if their salary under SSA is not released within ten days.
Warning in this regard was issued during a meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Mahesh Kumar. The meeting was attended by a large number of RET Teachers from all the zone of Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma expressed strong resentment against the delaying tactics of both the State Government and Centre Government for not releasing the funds under the SSA to clear several months’ salary of the Teachers whose families are on verge of starvation. He said that the SSA Teachers are not able to provide basic amenities to their family members like books to their children and medicines to their ailing parents.
The Government  is only making  statements but doing  nothing concrete  to release the salaries under SSA and similarly   KGBV Teacher are waiting for their regularization but no steps have been taken in this regard, he said and added this step motherly treatment of the Government  towards RET would not be tolerated.
The meet unanimously resolved that the aggrieved ReTs along with their families would take to streets and lock their schools if the Government fails to release all the pending salaries within 10 days.
The meeting was attended by Suhkdev Singh, Pankaj Verma, Rakesh Singh, Sushil Kumar, Balbir Singh, Varinder Singh, Pawan Sharma, Madan Gopal, Tilak Raj, Ankush Sharma, Pardeep Choudhary, Kamal Sharma, Mangal Singh, Dharam Pal, Rinku Rajput, Yash Paul, Amar Singh Deep Kumar, Shiv Gupta and others.
