JAMMU, July 7: All Jammu Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum today held protest at all district headquarters in support of their long pending demands and also submitted memorandum to Chief Minister through respective Divisional Commissioner and DCs.
The main protest was held in front of Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Rail Head complex, where hundreds of ReT and EV teachers assembled and raised slogans against the Government for not conceding their long pending demands.
The protest demonstration was led by Rajesh Singh, provincial president, and Younis Rahi, senior vice president.
While speaking, Rajesh Singh demanded immediate regularization of EVs as general line teachers who have completed their 7 years of service, pension scheme in favour of ReTs engaged before January 1, 2010, enhancement in wages upto Rs 7,000, inclusion of 5 years rendered service of ReTs for seniority benefits, transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers and provision of SRO 43 in favour of ReT and EV teachers.
Younis Rahi warned to intensify their stir in near future if their demands were not conceded before Assembly Session. He said that the next programme of the forum would be announced on July 29 in the State level meeting.
Meanwhile, similar protest was also held at Udhampur, which was led by Vinod Sharma, State president and Lekh Raj Parihar, district president. Hundreds of ReT teachers carrying placards assembled at Mini Stadium and marched towards DC office, where they submitted memorandum to DC.
A protest rally was also held at Kathua and Samba, which was led by Mangal Singh and Rinku Sharma respectively which submitted a memorandum of demands to DC, while at Kishtwar, the protest was led by Khazan Chand.
At Reasi the demonstrations was led by district president Balwan Singh and a memorandum of demands was served to CM through DC.
Hundreds of ReT teachers took out a protest rally at district Rajouri, which was led by State organizer Naresh Sharma, provincial general secretary Manzoor Khan and district president Inderjeet Singh. They raised slogans against the Government for not conceding their long pending demands.
At Poonch, Najam Jafri, State general secretary and Bader Din Rather led the protest march from CEO Office to DC Office and submitted memorandum.
At Doda and Ramban, Sajad Malik, district president Doda and Gulzaber Ahmed Daing, district president, Ramban, led the protest rallies. They submitted memorandum to their respective DCs.
A protest demonstration was also held at Srinagar and a memorandum was submitted to DC pertaining to their long pending demands.
