JAMMU, Oct 31: On their attaining age of superannuation today, various officers and officials in different departments were accorded warm send off by their colleagues, seniors and juniors.
Dr Parveen Kumar Gupta, Director Animal Husbandry Department, Jammu, superannuated today after rendering 36 years of active service. He started his career as VAS Hiranagar in 1981 and served in various capacities in the Animal Husbandry Department and retired as HoD.
Dr Shakti Gupta, Chief Animal Husbandry Officers, Reasi, also superannuated today after rendering 35 years of active service.
Bodh Raj, Gestonator Operator also attained age of retirement today after rendering 40 years of service in the Department.
The staff of the Animal Husbandry Department Jammu wished the outgoing officers and officials a healthy post retirement life.
Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Jammu, S S Lakhanpuria, who attained superannuation today after serving for more than 38 years in various capacities in the Department of Agriculture, was accorded an affectionate farewell.
H K Razdan, Director of Agriculture Jammu appreciated the dedication and sincerity of the outgoing Joint Director and wished him a very happy and prosperous post retirement life.

Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) accorded a warm send off to Parveen Gupta, Assistant Registrar, Pritam Singh, Assistant Registrar, Om Parkash, Tech. Officer, Anju Kapoor, Tech. Officer and Chain Singh, Section Officer, who retired after attaining age of superannuation today.
The farewell was held in appreciation of their services rendered to the Institution. The function was attended by many employees of the University. Pawan Singh, president, of the Union hailed the contribution of the employees. The farewell was accorded during a simple but impressive function in presence of members of the Union.
Badri Dass Sharma, Sr Lecturer in Economics, retired today from DIET Reasi on attaining age of superannuation.
DIET Reasi organized a farewell party for the outgoing officer. Staff of the DIET, Model Middle School attached with DIET and family members of the retiree were present on the occasion.
Dwarka Nath Sharma, Senior Librarian of Government GHSS, Bishnah, attained the age of superannuation today after having served the department for 37 years. He was accorded a warm farewell by the staff of the school.
Parveen Kumar, an official of PDD, who retired today from the post of Tech-III, was given a warm send off by the other colleagues of his department. Parveen Kumar served the department for 34 years. A grand farewell party was organized by other officials of his department. Speaking on the occasion, TP Singh (JE) lauded the services of the retiring official and wished him a happy and prosperous post retirement life.
Staff and students of Government Higher Secondary School Ghat organized a simple but impressive function to bid farewell to Oma Devi, Lab Assistant, who attained her age of superannuation today. Principal HSS Ghat, Shahida Khan, staff members, students and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion. Oma Devi has served the department with devotion and dedication for thirty-two years.
The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association held a function in the University Canteen for extending an affectionate farewell to Des Raj, who retired on superannuation after rendering thirty five years of unblemished service in the University.
Speaking on the occasion, Des Raj highlighted his service experience as well as happenings during his service tenure and shared the same with the Association members.
The Association president R L Kaith and general secretary S Surjeet Singh Heer appreciated the services he rendered in the University and wished him happy and prosperous life ahead. Association members also presented him a number of beautiful gifts as a token of love and respect.
Warm farewell was accorded to S Surinder Singh Chauffeur and Chander Prabha Sharma, Head Assistant, Directorate of Sheep Husbandry Jammu, , who retired from the Government service on attaining the age of superannuation today. While speaking at the farewell function, the speakers wished the retiring officials a happy and prosperous post retirement life.
