Retirees Police League holds monthly meet

JAMMU, May 7: The monthly meeting of the Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here today.
During the meeting chaired by Karanjit Singh, President, Retirees Police League District Jammu, the retired police officers discussed various demands including provision of free medicines to the retirees in Government hospitals and the Police hospitals, decrease in period of deduction of commuted money from pensions from existing 15 years among other demands.
The retired police officers further claimed in the meeting that they face challenges in meeting the Director General of Police (DGP).
“We’d raised certain issues with the DGP in the first meeting with the latter. We were hopeful that those issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner but till nothing has happened,” the retired personnel said in a statement.
They appealed DGP to spare some time to listen to their genuine concerns.
The meeting was attended by various retired police officers including Ranjit Singh, Choudhary Chirag Din, Suresh Kumar, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, Makhan Lal Sharma, Savita Parihar, Parveen Tabasm, Pawan Khajuria, Vijay Gupta, R Datta, VS Kundal, DD Sharma, BL Kaul, Mohinder Singh, Khalil Ur Rehman, Shamsher Parihar, BL Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Ajay Punjabi, JL Dhar, Rakesh Gupta, Ravinder Kumar, Darshan Singh, Mohan Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Mohinder Kumar, Sat Pal Singh, Balwinder Kumar and Ashok Kumar.
