He demanded that the survivors who are struggling for the same should get benefits. He said various Committees have been formed and they have given their opinions and approvals from time to time.
He said first Pay Anomaly Committee was framed in October 2009 while second was constituted on September 15, 2011 to look into the pay anomalies but the file was not traced in Secretariat. Again on third time Committee was framed on April 21, 2016 to look into the pay anomalies and it seemed that this Committee was also killing the time like the previous two committees and hence we demanded that a time frame by which issue will be settled be given which is lingering for last 20 years, he added.
He said now the Fourth Committee was framed to look into the pay anomalies. He wanted to know how long the committees will be framed and what will be their outcome as no solution has come to their problem till date.
Accusing the Government of dodging them, he said Finance Department sought clarification from Director General of Police regarding the pay anomalies to retiree ASIs and Head Constables. The DG informed that an amount of Rs 5,93,250000.00 will be incurred for the same.
He demanded that this amount be kindly released immediately. Besides, he also demanded CSD canteen facilities in every district, medical retail fair shop be opened for retired police personnel in both Srinagar and Jammu medical colleges.
District president Raghubir Singh, Triloki Nath, nominated provincial president, Karnail Singh, Mohinder Singh, Mohammed Sharief, Hardev Singh, Jagjit Singh, Karan Singh, Dewan Singh, Kamal Verma and Shiv Dass etc were among others who addressed the demonstrators.
