RAMBAN, June 18: Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers in one day convention held here today projected their demands.
A large number of teachers of the district of this category, assembled here under the banner of J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum, district unit Ramban, to hold a convention. It was held under the chairmanship of district president Mushtaq Malik. Teachers from different zones participated.
MLA Banihal, Waqar Rasool was the chief guest while senior JCC leader Ganesh Khajuria, guest of honour. Chief organizer of ReT Teachers Forum, Bhupinder Singh expressed serious concern over the deteriorating conditions in the Government schools. He said the Government must take some corrective measures to improve the same.
The other speakers during convention also threw light on the declining education standards in the Government schools, particularly in rural areas. They also projected demands before the MLA. They have demanded regularization of ReT teachers, inclusion of ReT period in the promotion and seniority, provision of transfer policy of ReT teachers and benefit of SRO-43. The MLA assured that he will take up their issues with the Chief Minister.
