JAMMU, Aug 3: A delegation of Rehbar e Taleem Teachers Forum called on Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) in his office chamber at Jammu and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
The delegation, headed by JKRETF Sr vice chairman, Bhupinder Singh and general secretary Jahgir Khan, raised the issues and demands, including implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA teachers and de-linking of their salary from MHRD to State budget. They also demanded the regularization of RET teachers including surplus teachers and clearing the pending time bound files of the RET teachers.
After giving a patient hearing to the delegation, DSEJ Rakesh Srangal, said that the department and Government are working sincerely for speedy implementation of 7th Pay Commission and within short period of time, the SSA teachers of the State will get its benefit. Besides, he added, regularization process of the RET teachers, who were engaged in the department under SSA, is also going to be started very soon while other issues would also be addressed soon.
The delegation comprised of Akhtar Abbas, Drub Singh, Tirth Singh, Joginder Kumar, Muzamil Hussain, Mangal Singh, Rakesh Singh, Mohd Saleem, Kartar Chand, Dilawar and others.
