JAMMU, Mar 29:  Demanding for release of SSA salary, All J&K ReT Teachers  Forum under the leadership of State president, Vinod Sharma held a peaceful protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu, today.
While speaking to the protesting ReTs, Sharma said that regularized ReT Teachers under SSA through out the State are without the salary for last 4 to 10 months and are facing acute problems to meet out their basic family needs.
He said that in this regard they have met with Education Minister and  Finance Minister but still the grants have not been released even though the financial year is about to end. He further said that instead of resolving the salary issue the Govt. has issued controversial order exempting ReT Teachers from exam duties.
Sharma said that ReT Teachers have been performing highly sensitive duties like election duty, census duty, survey duty, BLO duty etc. quite efficiently but they are disengaged from exam duties which has hurt the sentiments of thousands of ReT Teachers throughout the State.
He said that they have projected these issues from pillar to post but nothing concrete has been done to resolve them and from today they are going to organize peaceful protests.
Younis Rahi, vice president announced that on March 30, 2015 a peaceful protest will be held at Poonch and similar protests will be held at other parts of the State in near future and if the salary and other issues are not resolved within a week State wide agitations will be launched for which the Government will be personally responsible. State Executive body members, district presidents and a large number of delegates participated.
