JAMMU, Aug 12: J&K ReT Teachers Forum has urged upon the State Government to release the pending salary of the ReT teachers of the region.
In a meeting of the Forum members held here today under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh (vice chairman) and provincial president Arvind Sharma, the members projected the main issue of non-release of their pending wages. They said the ReTs from the region have decided to come out on the road on August 19 and hold protest at Press Club Jammu as Govt has failed to clear their pending wages. They said over 4000 ReTs were regularized last year but their pending wages have not been settled and cleared so far.
Those engaged under SSA are also without pay. They have approached Dy Chief Minister and Director School Education several times but their issues remained unresolved.
