JAMMU, July 25: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum, Jammu Zone, has appealed the Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar and Minister of State for Education, Prita Sethi, to clear the pending salary of regularized ReT teachers under SSA.
In a meeting of the Forum held here today, Joginder Kumar Digra, president of the Forum, also requested both the Ministers to clear all the pending Bills and liabilities of Mid Day Meal. “It is unfortunate the teachers have been providing Mid Day Meal from their own pockets for last one year and not a single penny was issued to them for the purpose”, he added.
He said that the Government schools are going to be open on July 28 but the bills are still pending and how can teachers bear this huge amount monthly. “We fear that students can be deprived of Mid Day Meals in future if the bills are not cleared within a week’s time”, he added.
Those who attended the meeting were Gurdas Kumar, Parveen Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Rakesh Digra, Rajiv Verma, Sandeep Kumar, Romesh Chander, Ashok Kumar and Sikander Kumar.
