JAMMU, June 2: Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum has threatened statewide protest if pending salary of regularized ReT teachers under SSA is not released by June 10.
The warning was issued today during a meeting of the Forum, held under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma at Udhampur.
The meet expressed serious concern over non-payment of salary to the regularized ReT teachers under SSA for the last six months. Despite repeated representations to the concerned authorities as well as the Education Minister in this regard, nothing has been done by the Government while the affected teachers are facing tremendous financial hardships due to unprecedented delay in release of their salary, Vinod Sharma said.
The meet also highlighted some other demands of the ReTs, which include regularization of EVS who have completed seven years service, inclusion of 5 years service of ReT for seniority benefits, old pension scheme for ReTs appointed before January 1, 2010, transfer policy for regularized ReTs and provision of SRO-43 in favour of ReTs.
