UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has threatened to launch an agitation for release of the pending salary of regularized ReT teachers under SSA scheme.
Decision in this regard was taken during monthly meeting of the Forum, held under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma accused the Central and State Government for withholding the salaries of regularized ReT Teachers under SSA for several months without reason. He said that RET Forum has brought this matter in the notice of State and the Central Governments and even visited to the office of HRD Ministry at New Delhi twice besides meeting HRD Minister Smriti Zubin Irani but still the problem of salary has not been resolved except hollow assurances both at State and the Centre level.
The meeting said that SSA teachers are without salary for last three to eight months in all the districts of the State but the Government is sleeping over the issue and they are now forced to adopt an agitational path. Soon the agitation date will be announced in the next State level meeting and the Government would be responsible for the consequences arising there on, the Forum announced.
The issue of MDM expenses, pending for the last eight months, was also raised in the meeting.
