ReT Forum serves ultimatum to Govt for streamlining salary

UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: Serving an ultimatum, J&K ReT Teachers Forum has asked the State Government to streamline their salary before March 31 or face agitation.
The ultimatum was served during a protest by the Forum member at  Rani Park Ramnagar.  The protest was held  under the leadership of  State vice president of the Forum, Bhupinder Singh. A large number of teachers from Zone Kalwanta, Ramnagar, Ghordi and Dudu participated in the protest demonstration.
While speaking on the occasion,  Bhupinder Singh lambasted the State Government for not considering the genuine issues of more than 65 thousand ReTs across the State, who are demanding clearance of pending salary, transfer policy in favour of RReTs as per the direction of High Court, inclusion of five years services as ReT for seniority benefits, benefit of SRO-43, regularization of all ReTs who have completed their five years service.
Singh said that so many times Ministers of Govt assured the delegations of Forum to streamline the salary of ReTs  but no step has been taken in this regard. He also criticized the State Government for not considering  ReTs as General Line Teacher after completion of five years and use word RReT for them after regularization , despite High Court direction to consider them as General Line Teachers  after completion of five years service as ReT.
Singh asked the State Govt to streamline the salary of ReTs and resolve other issues of more  before March 31  otherwise Forum will be forced to  announce a protest calendar Others who addressing the protest demonstration, included Sham Singh, Pritam Dhiman, Manmohan Singh, Krishan Lal, Atul Gupta, Pankaj, Surinder, Pawan, Sandeep, Dev Raj, Gayan Chand, Suram Chand, Pritam, Vishal and Arjun.
