JAMMU, Nov 21:  All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today held massive protest demonstrations at all the district headquarters and locked up their schools in protest against the failure of Education Department to release the salaries of SSA Teachers for several months, their regularization and fulfilling other demands.
The protesting ReT teachers raised slogans in support of their demands, which also included revocation of controversial order of Education Minister for screening all the ReTs/RReTs, lifting of ban on BOSE exam duties for ReTs, release of 1 year MDM dues and implementation of High Court order regarding transfer for regularized ReTs. They threatened to intensify their stir if such orders/remarks are not revoked and their genuine issues are not resolved.
Major protest was held at Udhampur where hundreds of ReT Teachers assembled at CEO office in the shape of rally and held sit-in. The protest was held under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma, State vice president Bhupinder Singh and Distt president Lekh Raj Parihar.
