ReT Forum holds protests for de-linking of SSA salary

SRINAGAR/JAMMU, June 4: Demanding de-linking of SSA salary from the source of funding, members of Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum today held State wide protest demonstrations at zonal headquarters.
Main protest demonstration was held at Partap Park in summer capital Srinagar, in which hundreds of members of ReT Forum participated. The protest was led by State president Vinod Sharma and State Chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz.
While addressing the gathering, both the leaders lambasted the School Education Department for its failure to resolve the issue of de-linking of SSA salary and implementation of 7th Pay Commission for SSA teachers. They said that due to delaying tactics of the Government, the ReTs were suffering badly and hence forced to come on roads.

They also demanded immediate implementation of 7th Pay Commission for SSA teachers and warned to intensify their stir if SSA salary for the month of April is released without implementing 7th Pay Commission.
They also demanded the immediate release of SSA salary for the month of February 2018, which is kept pending by the department without any reason and instead released the salary for the month of March which is a clear cut harassment.
Others,  who also addressed the protest demonstration at Srinagar, included  Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Saleem Sagar, Reyaz-ur Rehman , Ashaq Rasool , Najam Jafri , Sayeed Missaq , Peer Mushtaq, Gulzabir Daing , Javed Iqbal  and  Parvez Iqbal.
Meanwhile protests were held at all the zonal headquarters in Jammu division where hundreds of ReTs participated and raised slogans in favour of their demands of de-linking of SSA salary and implementation of 7th Pay Commission.
The protest demonstrations in Udhampur were led by Lekh Raj Parihar, Sham Lal Sharma Pritam Goswami Ashok Seth,  Man Chand, Sahil Sambyal, Sham Singh, Ajay Thakur, Amit Gupta and Dhruv Singh  at Chenani, Udhampur,  Jib,  Tikri, Ramnagar,  Kulwanta, Dudu, Panchari, Babey and  Majalta respectively.
At Vijaypur in Samba district, the protest was led by Raj Kumar Dubey while in Reasi, the protest was held at DIET Reasi.
