UDHAMPUR, May 12: Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum, unit Udhampur, held monthly meeting here today under the chairmanship of its District president Kuldeep Katoach and discussed various issues of the teaching community.
The meeting was attended by teachers of all Zones of District Udhampur, senior vice chairman of Forum, Bhupinder Singh and State coordinator Pritam Dhimaan.
While speaking on the occasion, Bhupinder Singh said that the delay in process for conversion of ReT teachers into Teacher Grade II, was injustice with the teachers of the State. He said that many files of teachers are pending in different offices of ZEOs and CEOs. Despite of assurances by the concerned officers, the files are still pending in different offices from zonal to divisional level, he lamented.
Singh appealed the Governor Administration to convert undergraduate RReTs, unregularised ReTs and Left out RReTs to Teacher Grade II within short span of time otherwise the Forum would come on roads for justice.
State coordinator Pritam Dhimaan also spoke on the occasion and appealed Governor Administration to release the pending arrears of Teachers and resolve the genuine issues of teaching community.
District president Kuldeep Katoach said that Some Zonal Education Officers of District Udhampur released the pending arrears of Teachers by pick and choose policy and shortly a memorandum will be submitted to apprise authorities regarding this matter. Katoach also appealed CEO Udhampur to submit the list of left out Graduate RReTs in the Directorate office for their conversion to Teacher Grade II.
Those who attended the meeting, included Surjeet Singh, Sachin Sharma, Parbhat Singh, Surinder Khajuria, Sanjeev Guleria, Ravi Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Angrez Singh, Ravikant, Mohan Lal, Rakesh Verma and others.
