UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: Gearing up for protest at Jammu on August 9, J&K ReT Teachers Forum today discussed the strategy for ensuring grand success of the proposed demonstration for implementation of 7th Pay Commission and de-linking of SSA salary.
Threadbare discussion in this regard was held in monthly meeting of Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma expressed his deep concern on the delay in implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA Teachers and Masters as benefit of 6th Pay commission has already been given to them. He lamented that delaying the benefit of 7th Pay Commission has put the SSA Teachers and Masters in mental trauma.
Vinod Sharma also said that de-linking of SSA salary from the source of funding (MHRD) to State budget has not been done so for thereby creating a sense of uncertainty among the nation builders whose families are suffering badly and this delaying attitude of the Government is forcing the teachers to come on roads. He appealed all the ReTs of Jammu province to reach Press Club Jammu on August 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. to participate in a peaceful protest demonstration against the callous approach of the Government to resolve this issue and appealed the Government to come up with the resolution of these issues so that any more confrontation between the nation builders and the Government be avoided and studies of the students may not suffer.
Lekh Raj Parihar demanded the release of SSA Salary for the month of February 2018, which has been kept pending even as salary for the months of March, April and May has been released.
Others who also spoke in the meeting, included Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma ,Sukesh Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Anil Sharma, Swaran Singh , Ajaz Wani, Som Raj , Rekha Thakur , Dharuv Singh, Ashok Kumar, Parshant Sharma , Binder Kumar, Ashok Mathur, Suresh Sharma and Kuldip Singh.
