ReT Forum demands transfer policy, streamlining of SSA salary

UDHAMPUR, Nov 5: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today demanded the Government to implement High Court order regarding transfer of regularized ReTs and also streamline salary of SSA teachers.
The demands were highlighted in a monthly meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of State president of the Forum, Vinod Sharma and district president, Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by a large number of ReTs from all the eleven zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that ReT teachers have been suffering due to non-implementation of High Court order regarding transfer of regularized ReTs and demanded the immediate implementation of the said order for the welfare of the ReT cadre.
He also demanded the streamlining of SSA salary and release of arrears of regularized ReTs which are pending since 2014. He appealed the Education Minister to concede these grievances of ReTs at earliest so that they may not suffer any more. Sharma also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to issue regularization orders of ReTs/EVs whose files are lying in the Directorate for a long time.
Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking, highlighted the issue of post facto permissions in favour of ReTs whose files are lying in the office of CEO Udhampur for a long time. He also demanded the release of Mid Day Meals dues which are pending since January this year and teachers are facing a lot of problems to run the Mid Day Meal scheme in the schools.
