NEW DELHI, June 27: A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum, led by State president Vinod Sharma, State chief coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and Provincial President Rajesh Jamwal today called on Union Minister for HRD Parkash Javedkar at his office in Shastri Bhawan New Delhi and presented him a memorandum of demands of SSA teachers of J&K.
While interacting with the HRD Minister, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issue of SSA salary, which is still pending for 3 to 4 months in J&K and arrears of regularized ReTs. He said that they have knocked the door from pillar to post in the State and Education Minister has also shown keen interest to resolve this issue but still the problem is persisting and thousands of SSA teachers are suffering for want of their salaries.
The deputation requested the HRD Minister to release the sufficient funds under SSA to J&K by providing an additional assistance to clear the liability so that thousands of teachers may not suffer any more.
The HRD Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that he would personally intervene in this regard and J&K State will be given due share under SSA at the earliest.
