This has reference to the article ‘Restructuring Congress’ DE Oct 28.
The Congress Party in case it wants to play a dominant role in Indian politics again, should go for introspection to know the grey areas which led to a string of defeats during Parliamentary and State elections.
The presence of a potent opposition is in the interest of nation. No democratic country can survive without having a mechanism which may provide checks and balances to counter the domineering role of the ruling dispensation.
The Congress Party is passing through existential crisis, and it should not delay the damage control exercise. The leadership should come out with new ideas to infuse life in demoralised cadre. Congress has shown time and again the capacity to bounce back. It should come with a bang to serve the people of this country.
