Restrictions in Jamia Masjid area

Srinagar, July 12: Authorities today imposed restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles in Jamia Masjid area of Srinagar and prevent Friday prayers in the grand Mosque.
Police and para-military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were today heavily deployed in Nowhatta area and no vehicular movement was allowed. They later stopped people from attending the Friday prayers in the Masjid.

Meanwhile, a man involved in making explosive device was injured when it went off inside a house in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Police said that a blast occurred inside the house of Mohammad Abdullah Dar resident of Zasoo Tahab in Pulwama area of South Kashmir in which one person identified as Javid Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Abdullah Dar was injured. He was evacuated to hospital and is undergoing treatment.
Police has registered a case and is investigating the circumstances which led to this blast. “Incriminating materials have been recovered from the site of blast and suggest that the injured person along with terrorists were involved in making an explosive device which went off resulting in to injuries to him.
Further investigation in the matter is going on”, police said.
