Restore all powers to SAC: NCP to CM

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 18: Former minister and NCP president Randhir Singh asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to restore all powers to State Accountability Commission (SAC) to make it more powerful.
Singh said that the successive State Governments had made this Accountability Act 2002 as an ornament piece only and most of the complaints against Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, Legislatures, Bureaucrats and land grabbers are lying in the High Courts for further appeals due to which the entire political atmosphere has been polluted in the State.
Singh demanded full restoration of old powers of J&K State Accountability Act of 2002 in the first budget session of J&K Assembly being held Srinagar so that corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, land grabbers and others can be put in jail.
