JAMMU, May 11: Zanskar Buddhist Association (ZBA) has appealed all the concerned Ministries, Government agencies and representatives for immediate restoration of roads, bridges, irrigation canals/khul and sanctioning compensation for the damaged schools building , agricultural land and other buildings due to sudden burst out by artificial lake created due to blockade of Phuktal river in Zanskar region of district Kargil.
In a statement issued,Tsewang Chostar, president, Zanskar Buddhist Association said NDMA has completely failed in its mission with a huge burden of expenditure on State exchequer, and added that the team carried out a futile exercise.
They ignored the suggestion of local experts which if considered the situation could have been different. Moreover, the NDMA team has utilized 380 sorties of Helicopter services which were meant for the transportation of stranded passengers (mostly Government employees) who are still waiting for Helicopter services at Leh.
