Four make abortive attempts on life

JAMMU, May 11: Four persons including a woman today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in different parts of Jammu Region.
According to police sources, a married woman namely Sunita Saini (42) wife of Ajay Saini, a resident of Parade today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Similarly, one Arjun Kumar (25) son of Bawa Ram, a resident of Bishnah also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following he was rushed to a Government Hospital in Bishnah, from where later he was immediately shifted to GMCH by the family members.
In another case at Pargwal in Akhnoor Tehsil, a man namely Tarsem Lal (25) son of Swarn Chand, a resident of Pargwal consumed some poisonous substance at her home. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
At Sarwal area of city outskirts, a 42-year-old man identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Dina Nath, a resident of Sarwal also tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance. He was rushed to Government Hospital Sarwal but later referred to GMCH.
The condition of all the four persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In all the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
