JAMMU, May 11: Police today arrested the driver of a Mahindra vehicle carrying illegally 55 bags of Government ration, near Panjtirthi here today.
According to a police spokesperson, during naka checking at Panjtirthi, one Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02AJ-6875 was stopped and during checking 55 bags of 50Kg each Government ration was found in the vehicle.
The ration was seized by the police and driver of the vehicle identified as Sanjeev Kumar, son of Ram Lal of Jhajjar Kotli, arrested.
The arrest was made by a police party headed by Incharge police post, Panjirthi, SI Rajesh Kumar under the supervision of SHO Pacca danga, Inspector Jatinder Veer Singh, SDPO City, Parbeet Singh Parihar, SP City, Shiv Kumar Chauhan and under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
