KISHTWAR, Jan 24: Former Minister and senior PCC member Ghulam Mohammed Saroori today stressed upon the Administration to look into the problems faced by the people of Kishtwar and Doda districts including Inderwal constituency due to prevailing bad weather condition and snowfall and restore all the essential services.
In a press statement Saroori said that due to snowfall and bad weather conditions, the people of rural areas of Kishtwar and Doda are facing lot of problems who are looking forward to address the issues of shortage of essential commodities and availability of rations at Government depots. He asked DCs from Kishtwar and Doda to press man and machinery into services to clear the various link roads closed due to continuous rain and snowfall. He also said that there is need to take stock of availability of life saving medicines, availability of Kerosene oil, ration, LPG, besides also give thrust on restoration of electricity in villages of these districts.
He said that people are calling him about the problems faced by them. Saroori said that he has also intimated concerned officials about various problems faced by the general public on administration front and seek immediate reddressal of the public grievances with them. He also asked the administration to ensure hassle-free ration supply and smooth essential services in the area.
Former Minister also visited Poora-Chandali area and said Congress is committed to overall development of all the three regions of the State especially hilly, backward, remote, mountainous and border areas. He appealed the people to work for strengthening the party in the best interest of the people of Inderwal.
